WHOLE FOOD HEART-HEALTHY CHILI

 

Hardy, heart-healthy, and delicious chili that is cheap and straightforward to make.

  • 1 Frontera Black Bean Chili Starter
  • 3 Cups Garbanzo beans
  • 2 Cups Black beans
  • 1.5 Cups Kidney beans
  • 1 Cup Lentil
  • 1 Cup Corn, organic
  • 1.5 Tablespoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 Tablespoon Fennel
  • 2 Tablespoon Chili powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Garlic, grated
  • 1 Medium onion, sliced thinly
  • 3 Or more cups water
  • 2 Jalapenos, sliced (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Vinegar(optional)
  • salt to taste
  1. Sauter onions, ginger, and garlic until soft
  2. Add all the ingredients
  3. Cook, medium heat for 60 minutes, stirring every 20 minutes
  4. Add more water if needed
  5. Lower the heat and cook for another 30 minutes
  6. Salt to taste

I used pre-cooked beans.
